Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Blockchain Council purchase. This policy outlines our refund terms, eligibility criteria, and the process for requesting a refund.

1. Overview

Blockchain Council ("BCC," "we," "us," or "our"), a wholly-owned brand under the ownership and operational control of Tosh Innovations Private Limited, offers high-value education in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Web3, and allied emerging technologies. Our products and services are available for purchase through our website at blockchain-council.org and authorized partner channels.

This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs refund requests for all products, courses, certifications, subscriptions, and services offered by BCC. By making a purchase on our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy.

Important Notice: Blockchain Council does not offer any trading practices, financial recommendations, or investment advisory services. All products and services are educational in nature.

This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Support Policy.

2. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by Blockchain Council, the following payment terms apply to all purchases:

  • Full payment for participation in any of our courses, certifications, or services is required at the time of registration.
  • Payment must be made through one of our accepted payment methods (credit card, debit card, PayPal, or other methods listed at checkout).
  • All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated. Currency conversion rates, if applicable, are determined by your payment provider.
  • Upon successful payment clearance, your access to the corresponding courses, resources, and services will be activated immediately.
  • Invoices and payment confirmations are sent to the registered email address and are available in your account dashboard.
  • Blockchain Council reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. However, price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

3. Free Trial Window

For select offerings, BCC provides a trial window to help you evaluate whether the product or service meets your needs before committing to a purchase:

  • A free trial is made available only upon explicit request by the user and is subject to availability for the specific product or service.
  • The trial window provides limited access to course materials, platform features, or service functionality as determined by BCC.
  • The trial period duration varies by product and will be communicated at the time of trial activation.
  • No payment information is required to initiate a free trial unless otherwise stated.

Recommendation: We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the free trial before making a purchase. The trial is designed to help you confirm that the service meets your learning objectives and technical requirements.

4. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a refund if all of the following conditions are met:

7-Day Request Window: The refund request is submitted to our support team within seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase.

Minimal Content Access: You have not accessed, consumed, or downloaded a substantial portion of the course materials or certification resources (generally no more than 10% of the total content).

No Certification Issued: No certification exam has been attempted, and no certificate or digital badge has been issued for the purchased product.

Valid Reason Provided: A valid reason for the refund request is provided (e.g., duplicate purchase, technical incompatibility confirmed by our support team, incorrect product purchased).

Good Standing: Your account is in good standing and you are not subject to any enforcement action for restricted activities as defined in our Terms and Conditions.

Meeting all the above conditions does not guarantee a refund. Each request is reviewed by our support team, and the final decision rests with Blockchain Council.

5. Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following purchases and scenarios are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances:

Requests submitted after seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase.

Products where the user has accessed, downloaded, or consumed a substantial portion (more than 10%) of the course content.

Certifications where an exam has been attempted, whether passed or failed.

Certifications or badges that have already been issued and delivered.

Subscription renewals that have already been processed (see Section 10 for cancellation details).

Products purchased during special promotions, flash sales, or with coupon/discount codes, unless otherwise stated in the promotional terms.

Bundled products where any individual component has been accessed or consumed.

Purchases made through unauthorized third-party resellers or channels not affiliated with BCC.

Cases where BCC is taking enforcement action against you due to involvement in Restricted Activities as defined in our Terms and Conditions.

Changes of mind, scheduling conflicts, or failure to complete a course within the available access period.

6. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request, please follow these steps:

Send an email to hello@blockchain-council.org with the subject line: "Refund Request — [Order ID]". Alternatively, submit a request through our Contact Us page.

Provide Required Information

Include the following in your request: your full name, registered email address, order ID or transaction reference number, the product/course name, date of purchase, and a detailed reason for the refund request.

Await Review

Our support team will review your request and may ask for additional information. You will receive an acknowledgment within 24–48 hours of submission.

Receive Decision

You will be notified of the refund decision via email within 5 business days of receiving all required information. The decision will include the refund amount (if approved) and expected processing timeline.

7. Refund Processing Timeline

Once a refund has been approved, the following processing timelines apply:

BCC is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors, banks, or financial institutions. If you do not receive your refund within the stated timeframe, please contact your payment provider first, then reach out to our support team.

8. Refund Methods

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless:

  • The original payment method is no longer valid, expired, or closed — in which case an alternative method will be agreed upon.
  • You request a refund in the form of Platform Credits (BCC account credits), which can be applied toward future purchases and may include a bonus credit amount at our discretion.
  • A bank transfer is required due to payment method limitations — BCC may request your banking details for processing.

Any transaction fees, currency conversion charges, or intermediary bank fees incurred during the original purchase are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.

9. Partial Refunds & Platform Credits

In certain situations, BCC may offer a partial refund or Platform Credits instead of a full monetary refund:

  • If you have accessed a minor portion of the course content (within the allowed threshold), a partial refund proportional to the unused content may be offered.
  • If a technical issue on BCC's side prevents you from accessing your purchased content for an extended period, compensation in the form of Platform Credits or a partial refund may be provided.
  • If a product is discontinued before you have completed it, you may receive a prorated refund or equivalent access to a replacement product.
  • Platform Credits do not expire, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

10. Subscription Cancellations

For products and services offered on a recurring subscription basis, the following cancellation and refund terms apply:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will retain access to the subscription benefits until the end of the paid period.
  • No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will not receive a refund for the remaining days.
  • Renewals that have already been processed are non-refundable. To avoid unwanted charges, cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before the next billing date.
  • If an auto-renewal charge occurs after you have requested cancellation (due to processing delays), contact our support team for resolution.

11. Promotional & Discounted Purchases

Products purchased during promotional campaigns, flash sales, or with coupon or discount codes are generally non-refundable, subject to the following:

  • Unless the specific promotional terms explicitly state that refunds are permitted.
  • Free or complimentary products, bonus items, or gifts included with a purchase are not eligible for separate refunds.
  • If a refund is approved for a discounted purchase, the refund amount will be based on the actual amount paid (after discount), not the original list price.
  • Coupon codes and promotional credits used in a refunded purchase may or may not be reinstated, at BCC's sole discretion.

12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage you to contact our support team directly to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer.

Important: Chargeback Policy

Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue through our support channels may result in immediate suspension of your account, revocation of all certifications and course access, and potential referral to collections. Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to relevant authorities.

If we receive a chargeback notice, we will respond to the payment provider with relevant transaction documentation. If the chargeback is found to be unjustified, your account may remain suspended until the disputed amount is resolved.

13. Restricted Activities & Refund Forfeiture

You will not be eligible for any refund (partially or fully) if Blockchain Council is taking action against you due to involvement in "Restricted Activities" as defined in our Terms and Conditions. Restricted Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sharing, distributing, or reselling course materials or certification content without authorization.
  • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Platform.
  • Attempting to manipulate or cheat on certification examinations.
  • Creating multiple accounts to exploit promotional offers or free trials.
  • Engaging in any form of fraud, misrepresentation, or abuse of the Platform.
  • Violating intellectual property rights or anti-piracy policies.

14. Exceptional Circumstances

BCC recognizes that exceptional circumstances may arise. In the following situations, refund requests may be considered outside the standard 7-day window, at BCC's sole discretion:

  • Documented medical emergencies that prevent you from using the purchased service for an extended period.
  • Significant and verified technical failures on BCC's side that render the purchased product unusable despite reasonable troubleshooting efforts.
  • Natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or other force majeure events that prevent access to the Platform.
  • Death or incapacitation of the account holder (request by legal representative with proper documentation).

Requests under exceptional circumstances must be accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation and will be reviewed by our management team on a case-by-case basis.

15. Changes to This Policy

BCC reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users where practicable.

Refund requests will be processed under the version of this Policy that was in effect at the time of the original purchase, unless the updated Policy is more favorable to the customer.
